Here is the story of how Matthew's first album came to be...

Matthew was working at a UPS store in Frazer, PA. One day Dean Grey came into the store and heard Matthew playing his guitar. Matthew often would practice his guitar in between clients and that day he was playing away on his guitar unaware that Dean was listening. Since Dean Grey was an accomplished musician, Matthew convinced Dean to help him record his songs at Dean's recording studio. After hearing Dean sing, Matthew also begged him to sing on the CD. Dean agreed but with Dean's busy schedule it took them three years to complete the project. The CD was recorded in Dean's basement. "Fallen By The Wayside" was finally complete. They say good things take time…

Matthew has been playing the guitar since he was 13 years old. Why did Matthew pick up the guitar? That's a funny story...

When Matthew was in 3rd grade at Candlebrook Elementary School, he wanted to play an instrument so he signed up for the violin. Within 2 years he had made second chair violinist. However, being a small kid who walked home from school each day carrying a violin basically carried a bull's-eye on Matthew's back for every bully in the neighborhood. So after several fights, Matthew decided the violin wasn't worth it and quit. Fast forward to middle school in the 7th grade. Matthew was in the court yard eating lunch when he saw Chris Dow playing guitar for some girls. The girls were listening to every song that he played! That seemed like a much better deal for a thirteen year old boy. Playing the guitar gets you the attention of girls, playing the violin gets your butt kicked. Matthew signed up for guitar lessons the next day……

Matthew is happily married to his number one groupie, Robin, and they have two awesome little groupies together, David and Katie.
